Event Overview
STAG HUNT 2025 is an intensive training and development event specifically designed for new, intermediate, and struggling airsoft players to improve their skills. Led by experienced military and civilian trainers, the event offers a structured, immersive learning experience in airsoft tactics, skills, and strategy.
Dates & Schedule
- Event Date: April 12-13, 2025 (Arrival permitted from April 11)
- Check-in: 07:00 – 08:59 AM (Strict)
- Location: Cole’s Family Farm Airsoft, 492 River Rd, Dayton, ME 04005
- Cost: $45 (includes parking, camping, instruction)
- Optional Skill Tabs: $5 each (Feather, SFDL, FFFR, NLNP)
Preparation & Requirements
Mandatory Gear
- ANSI Z87.1-rated full-seal eye protection
- Functional airsoft gun (optics highly recommended)
- Pen & paper (Rite in the Rain recommended)
- Programmable radio (Baofeng UV-5 series recommended)
- Weather-appropriate clothing and gear
- Spare magazines and carriers
- Day pack and hydration source (minimum 1-liter capacity)
- RED rag/dead rag
- RED chemlight/strobe/e-lite
- White flashlight
If lacking gear, ask in the STAGOPS Discord for loan opportunities.
Class Schedule & Training Content
Training blocks range from 30 minutes to 4 hours, mixing presentation, demonstration, and hands-on practical exercises. Classes build progressively and are compulsory:
Saturday Classes
- Intro to Core Concepts (“The Duelist”)
- Gear Setup & Theory
- Gun Gym (shooting fundamentals to advanced drills)
- Nervous System Approach (concealment, spotting, reaction, communication)
- Lunch Break
- Small Unit Theory & Practice
- Battle Drills
- After Action Review & Dinner
- Night Operations Basics (for players without night vision)
- Night Operations Practical & Evolution Exercises
- Campfire Session (Weather Permitting)
Sunday Classes
- Breakfast
- Briefing Skills & Mission Planning
- Effective Communication (Hand Signals & Radio)
- Advanced Tactics & Procedures
- MOUT/CQB Training
- Lunch Break
- Handling Non-Combatants & ROE
- Basic Land Navigation
- Final Evolution (comprehensive field exercise)
Event Structure
- Attendance: Mandatory for all classes, no late arrivals or early departures.
- Format: Crawl-Walk-Run model—starting basic and advancing progressively.
Force Composition (Squad Structure)
Total: 110 participants forming 10 squads. Each squad consists of:
- 1 Squad Leader (Rifleman Loadout)
- Fireteam A: 1 Leader, 1 Medic, 1 Grenadier (if available), 1 SAW (if available), 1 Rifleman
- Fireteam B: 1 Leader, 1 Medic, 1 Grenadier (if available), 1 SAW (if available), 1 Rifleman
Logistics & Event Support
Camping & Parking
- Parking: Main entrance upper lot.
- Camping: Lower lot (no structures in parking areas).
Food & Water
- Participants are responsible for their own meals (minimum 3 meals Saturday, 1 meal Sunday recommended).
- Plan for at least 1 liter of water per day.
Waste Facilities
- Porta-johns available (bring personal TP & sanitizer).
Electricity & Charging
- Limited access. Arrive with devices fully charged.
Vendor Support
- Ammo and basic items may be available through Cole’s Pro Shop.
Ticketing & Waivers
- Ticket Sales: Opens 9 PM EST, Monday 3/3 (limited to 110 tickets)
- Transfers: Allowed up to 4 days before the event via Eventbrite (handled by original buyer)
- Waivers: Required from Cole’s Family Farm Airsoft & STAGOPS
Recommended Pre-Event Actions
- Review provided maps from Cole’s Airsoft Maps
- Join and actively participate in the STAGOPS Discord channel
- Arrange gear loans, if necessary, ahead of the event
